Haza fallah yah-risu al-Ardh.
This farmer is ploughing the Earth.

Yamalu al-fallah bi-yadihi wa yah-faru al-Ardh.
The farmer works with his hands and digs the soil with an Axe.

Mataa yarjioo Al-fallaah ilaa baitihee.
When does the farmer return to his house?
يرجع عند غروب الشمس.
Yarjioo inda ghuroob-ish-shams.
He returns at sunset.

Mathaa arkabu al-Himaar yaa jaddee.
When can I ride the donkey o grandfather?
اِركبي الآن ، أنا سأنزل.
Arkabu al-aan, anaa sa-azalu.

Exercise 1.b :
Listen to the Sentences and understand the meanings:

Arabic Text:
يذهب الفلّاح إلى الحقل عند شروق الشمس .
Read As: Yazhabu al-fallaah ilaa al-haql Indha sharooq ash-shams.
Meaning: The farmer goes to the field at sun rise.
2)
Arabic Text:
يحرث الفلّاح الأرض و يسقي الزرع .
Read As: Yahrusu al-fallaah al-Ardh wa yasqee az-zará .
Meaning:
The farmer ploughs the soil and waters the plants.
3)
Arabic Text:
تحلب الفلّاحة البقرة لتأخذ اللبن .
Read As:Yahlubu al-falla-hah al-baqarah li thaakhuza al-laban.
Meaning: The lady farmer milks the cow to get milk.
4)
Arabic Text:
يتسلّق الفلّاح النخلة ليأخذ البلح .
Read As:
Yathasallaqu al-fallaah an-nakhlah li ya-khuzu al-blah.
Meaning:
The farmer climbs the palm tree to get dates fruits.

Arabic Text:
هو يعمل بيده و يحفر الارض بالفأس
Read As:Huwa yaámlau biyadhi wa Yahfaru al-Ardh bil-fa-as.
Meaning: He works with his hands and digs the soil with the plough.

Arabic Text:
هو يحبّ البقرة و الجمل و الحمار و الهدهد .
Read As: Huwa yuhibbu al-baqarah wa al-Jamal wa al-Himaar wa al-hud-hud.
Meaning: He loves the cow, the camel, the donkey and the woodpecker.

يرجع الفلّاح إلى بيته عند غروب الشمس .
Read As:
Yarjioo Al-fallaah ilaa baitihi Indha ghuroob-ish-shams .
Meaning:
The farmer returns to his house at sun-set.
